Who We Are
We are embracing the truth |
This movement is about empowering men and women to take back what society (or maybe a negative individual) has taken from them. We are about helping others realize their true swandom. It's not about outer beauty (although that's part of it). It's about accepting yourself the way you were created and loving that, regardless of what the magazines, TV shows, or celebrities tell us is "good enough."
Society wants you to fit into a box - and you aren't allowed to be in more than one. They're boxing you in, but swans aren't meant to be caged. Break free! We want people to wake up and realize they aren't the ugly ducklings from the story...they're the effing swans. It's time to get mad at the lies you've been told. Then, channel that anger into changing your mindset. Change your world and you can start to change the rest as well. |
Who YOU are |
How do you become an Official Swan? Easy, you take the first step on realizing that who you are is enough. Are you perfect? No. Are there areas in your life that might need work? Sure, all of us have that.
But do you need to change your appearance/personality/spirit in order to be "worth it" and fit society's standards of beauty and popularity? Hell to the No. It's time to reclaim (or maybe find for the first time) the real you. Learn to love yourself, because you deserve it. You. Are. Loved. You. Are. Beautiful. Embrace. Your. Swanitude. |
How we're growing |
I talk to my email list about #swanitude. It's amazing how much it has grown in the last two years. What once was about finding your own self-worth has expanded into reminding others that they are worthwhile, loved, and important.
The darker this world gets, the more I try to be a swan - a symbol of beauty, grace, and hope. A swan is a fighter and a lover, elegant and yet potentially aggressive. With everything happening today, we need aggressive hope - hope that reminds people all is not lost. You are a not a lost cause. You are not worthless. You have a voice, and your voice matters. Join the movement, become a swan, and embrace your #swanitude. Spread the word, and maybe we can bring hope to a fallen world. |
